The W-W1 is identical to the W-H1 model, except for the keyboard slant. The Wicki keyboard, which runs parallel to the hand rest, was invented by Caspar Wicki in the late 1800s. Brian Hayden invented the "Hayden" keyboard (with slant) in the 1960s.
The W-W1 features our long scale tapered (instead of parallel) steel reeds in MS57 brass frames. Tapered reeds provide excellent reed responds at low airflow, a wide dynamic range, and uniform harmonic equilibrium.

The standard W-W1 model has French polished walnut, Padouk, Maple, or Ebonized flat ends. Raised ends and other types of wood are optional.
