The W-E1 models are a modern iteration of the Wheatstone Æola model, which was designed over a century ago, 
Modern features such as our long scale tapered (instead of parallel) steel reeds in MS57 brass frames and calibrated airflow values, offer excellent reed response at low airflow, a wide dynamic range, and uniform harmonic equilibrium.
The standard W-E1 models feature French polished walnut, Padouk, Maple, or Ebonized flat ends. Raised ends or metal inserts and other types of wood are optional. 
The W-E1 model is available as 48 key treble, 48 key tenor, 48 key Baritone, and 56 key tenor-treble.
