The W-E2 model is based on the early Wheatstone concertinas from the 1850s. It is developed with the soloist in mind, looking for warmth of tone and balance rather than volume.
Modern features such as our short scale tapered (instead of parallel) steel reeds in MS57 brass frames and calibrated airflow values, offer excellent reed responds at low airflow.
The braced Engelmann spruce top is available with open fretwork, or with filtering or amplifying baffles. The short scale reeds offer a flat equilibrium perfect for repertoire with extended harmonies or polyphony.

The E2 is available as 48 key Treble and 48 key Baritone.
